No time restriction for eating and drinking only to wait for 4 hours to brush the teeth

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is an FDA-approved topical solution that treats and prevents dental cavities in a quick and painless way unlike getting a filling also it reduces tooth sensitivity.  It is made with two active ingredients: silver an anti-microbial agent that kills tooth decaying bacteria and fluoride which remineralizes the tooth structure by making your tooth hard again.  SDF prevents your cavities from spreading or getting larger, but also prevents future cavities from developing

Sealants are a protective coating used for the molar teeth to seal out decaying bacteria from invading the grooves of the teeth.  This is typically done on children when the molar teeth come in. Adults can also benefit from sealants to avoid tooth decay.

Gum Disease Treatments

Gingivitis is an infectious disease of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. Gingivitis is inflammation of the gum tissues. In the early stage of gingivitis, bacteria in plaque build-up, causes the gums to become inflamed and easily bleed during brushing. Periodontal Disease is an infection from high levels of bacteria in plaque and tartar which affects the gum tissues and breaks down the bone and connective tissue that holds teeth in place. It is a major cause of tooth loss in adults.

Treatment for gum disease is individualized and not a one size fits all procedure. Therapy can include a full mouth debridement in which removal of all plaque and tartar from above the gum line is done to start the healing process. A follow-up fine scale cleaning visit 2 weeks later after inflammation has reduced for removal of the remaining buildup from below the gum line without discomfort.

Advanced gum disease therapy is scaling and root planning which is the removal of all bacterial plaque, tarter and root smoothing with non-injectable anesthetic on sections of the mouth at a time.
